I don't get too involved in too many threads but I do read through a lot of them. I know from experience that many Abers are brilliant in willingly offering knowledgeable and sensible advice whilst many others are very sympathetic and supportive in the Body and Soul category. But, often these responses are not even acknowledged by the OP. Is there not some way Answerbank can remind the OP that well meaning folk have taken the time and trouble to think about their problem and answer it? Just a suggestion

All new questions are subscribed by default, so the member should get an email about the responses - and this email does say that they should leave a note of thanks if it's good.

I am not sure what to do beyond this which doesn't seem too pushy?

If I know I'm not going to bother returning to a thread, if my question has been answered already, I usually just put a "thanks to everyone that responded... blah blah blah". I find a simple smiley face does the trick :-)
