Naomi.. you might be having problems with your browser caching since the update. i.e Internet explorer is still showing you the version of the site before the update. Please try pressing CTRL+F5 together on your keyboard to clear the cache, and try again? I had the same issue on my PC with Internet Explorer 11, but it was resolved after the cache clearing.

On the old system there was a GK sub directory for crosswords, is that still available or how do I get to a similar point? Otherwise it looks good once the browser is refreshed. Thanks
No idea if this has been mentioned in one of the myriad threads about the changed format, so I'll tag it on here...

It would be nice if "Sticky" threads looked different to ordinary threads again.

Just thought of this - I did mention it before but can't find it now (a Beta thread?) - am I correct in thinking that one's avatar should show in the "Your Answer" box? Mine doesn't, just "Jellybabies".

Getting used to it now but it won't let me answer in box for a few seconds and then sticks, happens on laptop, tablet and phablet/phone so guess its not me, and find it so long to go to last page that I give up!
Ps how do I clear cache on my samsung tab A and my Lenovo phablet? Please?
I've managed to clear history on samsung tablet, is that the same as clearing cache?
Hi minty - I'm a lion in the threads, LP & profile. I gather that other AB'ers see their avatars in the "Your Answer" box - at least when they open it to reply. (Nips off to do pic...)

I am keeping an eye on all the feedback and have submitted our first set of changes for the developers to look over. We're reducing the number of ads, for example.

Irritating and fiddly to have to go to the drop-down box to move from category to category and sorry to see some of the little used sub-headings such as 'Current Affairs' remain. 'Politics' as a main heading would serve to relieve a good deal of traffic from the main News category, thereby keeping busy current news items on the front page for longer. Likewise 'Religion & Spirituality' should be a main topic. New users could be forgiven for assuming this specialised subject is not discussed here. The AnswerBank needs to advertise its wares - not hide them.

Looks good Naomi! Sub cats to be culled as soon as we have moved their historic questions into a liferaft. Do not fear, they are not here to stay!
You are coming through loud and clear Naomi. The best advice I could give to all users is clear your cache, log out and delete the favourite or bookmark that you previously used to get on site. Then log in anew with your original details and then save in bookmarks or favourites just as you once did with the old site. It seems to clear up any problems, and does become quicker as you post or answer more.
Is it possible to expand the 'answer' box when it's clicked on? I can only see two lines of my answers and need to scroll up to check the rest before submitting it. Also, since there seem to be multiple threads on the new layout, it might be an idea to make this one a sticky so people can post their comments here instead. The editorial team may have more chance of seeing them then.
