Admin Editing Posts

Twice today my posts have been edited. Is this a new policy? If so, I think it should be re-examined. I for one am not happy for other people to change what I've written. That simply isn't right.

spicerack, if I remember earlier discussions correctly, mods have to provide a reason for deleting posts or threads, but not for closing threads (which is temporary and can be reversed). That may have changed, I haven't heard.

I sometimes wonder if Mr Hughes is trying to run this site because he certainly has more to say than The Ed or Spare Ed.

jno. If a moderator closes a thread his reason for doing so is e-mailed to the Ed who decides if the action was justified.

My comment would be that every time this type of discussion takes place on here many mods and maybe mods flock on to quote Site Rules in an almost condescending manner. A little more understanding might be called for. I think most people are aware that 'editors edit' but not that AB editor would come on and edit posts without saying so at the time.

Who said that danny? Not me, you've almost proved my point. I don't know how many mods there are but I've been here long enough to know who has said they are and who highly likely is but prefers to remain silent (which I respect totally).
