moving whilst pregnant
1 Answers
i posted yesterday about me and new partner wanting to move away from this area - be that to another country or just another part of this country, we haven't decided on our over all life plan. we do like the idea of seeing the world as a family be that the 3 of us or with anymore children if we are fortunate enough to have any. from what i've read and understood i can not move my son out of this country without my ex partners permission, but was helpfully told that moving to another part of this country no matter how far or near is legally acceptable. as i mentioned in last post me and partner are buying a house, i'd like to think that makes us a little bit serious atleast haha so of course natural progression does include things like getting married, having children - which we both want to do, and atm are currently just rolling along with the whole 'whatever happens happens' kinda way of life right now. i was talking to my partner about it and then i thought about this... if i was pregnant (or if me and new partner actually had a child) and me and partner decided that we wasn't all bennefiting as best we could in this country and wanted to move abroad for a better life (all of us - including my son and any children we had together) so they could grow up together with eachother in a better place without the rush of life in this area, just both have a better quality of life - could i (i say i, obviously from what i've read it's my son that couldn't go but me leavINg him isn't even an option) be legally forced to stay in this country? as surly partner of unborn (or born) child would be able to have a say in that childs life? this isn't a situation we are in, and may never be in but me and partner are interested to know. we wouldn't like to end up stuck here forever due to us not knowing something in advance. hopfully my question will be understood, i know it all sounds a bit backwards at first read! thanks xXx

1. Wait until your child is 18, then he can live wherever he wishes
2. Your son could live with his father while you live abroad
3. Go to court and let them decide - they will ALWAYS make decisions 'in the best interest of the child'.
