We have a fillet off a leg of Gloucester Old Spot pork, crispy golden crackling and bramley apple sauce, new potatoes and roast potatoes, spring greens, minted peas new season carrots and a sage, onion and sausage meat stuffing, proper meat juice gravy. And if anybody has room after that, I've got a lemony fresh Raspberry cheesecake, or fresh cream strawberry trifle for pud.

Not yet, mercia, it sounds lovely but it's much too early, we haven't had breakfast yet!
Same as Boxy....and I've only just got up.
Good morning Mercia :o)
we are having roast chicken and vegetables, roasties and gravy followed by Eves pudding and custard
Is it proper meat /poultry juice gravy,Bobbi??

Too early here also - not even thought of breakfast....though I may make a butternut squash risotto tonight......the butternut comes from Tescos....

I've been up since 5.30am - I suppose it is a bit early for some!
At the moment, eating a sausage and irish white pudding sandwich. For lunch pretty much the same as you merciasounds apart from the minted peas and pudding. Infact this is the third sunday we are having pork so think i will give it a miss next sunday and have lamb instead.
I will be attempting a coq au vin. It will be my first time.
Wish me luck, if it turns out wrong I am gonna pass it off as a chicken casserole!!!
Leftover corned beef hash, waste not want not.
Did you have your dinner at that time mercia? You'll be picking all day now :-) We're having chicken with something
We've got spicy chicken and lamb...and various bits and bobs. That's what you get when you take a hungry man to the supermarket!!

no, Safiya, we had lunch at 2. Got cold cuts and loads of cheeses, fresh rolls i've made, some homemade paté, salads and various things like quiche, bit of smoked salmon, salsa dip and nacho chips for when we have friends around for drinks tonight.

I'm working til quite late so nibbles and wine/pimms.
LOL I was wondering how anyone could eat that much at that time. So I guess you had just cooked the meat then? I'm gobsmacked at the amount of food you do in a day, where the heck do you put it all?

Ha ha - there were 5 of us at lunch, there will be about 18-20 tonight for drinks, it's kind of a 'going away' party for a friend who is off to Canada when she finishes her exams
Had hummus & breadsticks for lunch, off to a pub quiz tonight, so beer for dinner :-)
We had a cup of tea and a custard doughnut for lunch (all we fancied), we've got pasta tonight with salad and garlic bread.
Starving after a session in the garden! About to indulge in chicken with porcini in a white wine sauce
