DFS
Does anybody know what their advertising budget is?
Every commercial radio and television station continually tell us of their never ending sale,as well as newspaper and magazine adverts.
They must have to sell a few sofas to break even.
Can't seem to escape the adverts..Just like Autoglass aaarrrgghhh!!!
Drives me barmy to be honest :-(
I bet even undiscovered tribes in the Amazon jungle have heard of DFS!

It is alright to call anything a sale as long as the item has been on sale somewhere in the UK for 28 consecutive days in the last six months. This means DFS can have a shop somewhere where they do not need to sell anything but all the stock is at the higher price. Personally I would not buy anything from DFS if they think I am seduced by this con. Check the quality too! My policy is dont believe any of them.
I think the "mark up" on 3 piece suites is huge, so they can afford to spend a fair bit on advertising as they make so much profit on each item sold.
The company that annoys me with their advertising spend is British Gas, particulalrly on the radio, where almost every other advert is for them.
I am with British Gas but I am going to change as I am concerned my high price for gas is to pay for all their adverts.

I can't see them going into administration in any near future recession. They must have a lot in the vaults considering they have the adverts usually associated with the "Sale Starts 10.00 am Boxing Day" cliche during post Queen film advert breaks on Christmas Day, all year round, although with their more familiar "sale ends 5.00 pm on Sunday" or something like that.
