what is the matter with people

I was out shopping today there was a baby in a pushchair with what I presume was her parent the adult had a thick hoodie on with the hood pulled up I might add, and the poor baby probably about 11 months old was sat in the pushchair with a thin t shirt on no shoes only socks its luckily it had long sleeves on the t shirt even though you could see how thin the material was, dont these parents stop and think that poor child is just sitting there the adult is at least walking to keep themselves warm. I felt like saying something but would of probably got a mouthful of abuse and told to mind my own business, but I came very close.

same here, seen parents wrapped and warm but the child dressed inappropriate to the weather conditions. i could quite cheerfully slap some parents, when they yell, threaten and generally are abusive to their children, little ones who are in distress need help, a cuddle, and not an ugly tirade from someone who should know better.

I once glared at a woman who belted her pretty little girl so hard she fell to the ground. I was just going to say something when she said to me 'what the f*ck are you looking at you **** ' Horrible woman - poor little child. I saw a policeman round the corner and told him and described her, he said he'd go and look, hope he found her.
friedgreen, perhaps one doesn't know the whole story, but i am afraid that there are people out there, and in terrifying numbers it seems from recent news reports, who don't give a crap about their children, their welfare, life. I think it's a sad day when seeing an abused child you walk away and do nothing.
