I understand that these have been sold for £25 each but that the Royal British Legion will receive only £2.50 per poppy. Does anybody know where the remaining £22.50 per poppy is going please?

i would also imagine the following:
commission to the installation creator
wages for the artist who made the poppy
materials for making the poppy
wages for the people who "planted" the installation
wages for the people who are going to dismantle it, pack and ship them
postage and packing
Bednobs.....the poppies were planted by volunteers.....unless that changed after people were invited to volunteer.
is it going to be taken down poppies cleaned packed and sent by vollys too do you know?
ps what a great project to volunteer for!
As far as I understand, Bednobs, yes......I did mention on here about the request for volunteers to plant them because if I had lived in or near London I would love to have done it.
yes...just checked and they are asking for volunteers to remove the poppies...x
10% profit is shaved off immediately for charities and then the net profit after all the poppies are harvested and shipped then go to the charities as well. Given say, £5 to make, £1 to the creator (wish I had come up with the idea!), £1 for planting, unplanting and packaging,£1-50p unknown expenses, that should net a further £14 and that's a bucket load of dosh to the chosen charities.
It is expected that most people will receive their poppy in the new year.
