Took my old boy for his tests this morning and found out that he has a massive growth in front of his heart which is inoperable.
It is this growth that is making him go off his food and not want to move very much.

My daughter down at Surrey Uni is heartbroken and wants to jump in her car and come home. I've said no to that.
Will know more when I pick him up shortly.

I hate 2011.

Chrissa - so sorry..... but you know now what's the matter with the old boy. Let us know what the vet says. Feeling very much for you at the moment.
oh chrissa im so sorry, you did know there was something not quite right with him , im sure the vet will give you the best advice, take care anne.♥
Awwww chrissa, sorry to hear that, always horrible when something like this happens to our best friends isn't it?
Chrissa... If he were mine I'd think about not bringing him home hard as it is... spare him another trip to the vets when he is far sicker... better a month too soon than an hour too late...Thinking of you you've had enough pain for one year already

I do feel so sorry for you chrissa, my Max is 10 and touch wood there is nothing wrong with him apart from his age but I'm getting to the stage were every thing sends me off to the vets and every trip to the vets always carries that worry.I'm sure you'll do what's right and remember there are a lot of friends on here who'll help you through what ever happens
Chrissa so sorry to hear your news. Perhaps the vet could come to him when the time comes, much better for the old chap.
I am sorry to hear your sad news, I am sure he has had a good life.xx
I know how you feel but at least he has no concept of mortality.
So terribly sorry to hear that on top of what has already happened.
