My daughter's partner has got her a kitten for Valentine's day. She's wanted one for a long time. Anyway, the kitten is 10 weeks old. She feeds him a quarter of a pouch of wet kitten food and a few kitten biscuits four times a day. She's worried this might be too little, but doesn't want to overfeed him. Can anyone advise please?
P_R: She's feeding him enough at that. The best way to tell is by weighing or looking at physical signs. Don't overfeed though as they will just eat and eat, similar to a puppy.
You could also suggest that your daughter gets the new kitten a Kitten Kong. You can put treats in and add paste to make them more fun. It's good fun watching animals play with them and £250 if you have it published on You've Been Framed or Worlds Craziest Animals.
Thank you Wolf - she has had cats before, as have I but we just couldn't remember about the feeding thing. He is so cute - she hasn't named him yet. They also have a rescue Lab/Rottweiler cross, and apparently they are going to get along well !!
