Why does my dog keep pooing in my house?
I have a staffy whos 20 months and whenever im at work or pop out she poos in my living room even though i let her out first thing in the morning.
When im at work someone always comes to take her on a walk and when i return i let her out for the loo, but shes already gone on my rug.
I've also brought her training pads what i've put near the front door but she doesnt use them. She knows this is bad as she gets scared when i come home.
I've rubbed her nose in it, shouted.. but nothing works?
Can anybody help em as its really getting me stressed, is it anything to do with what i feed her?? I've been told all dogs can hold it in for quite a long time is this true?

And i couldnt care less whos going to give me a 'b0ll0cking', a dog cant understand when somthing is wrong when your saying somthing in a flat tone.

The dog doesn't know it's doing wrong, it's a natural function for her and she isn't doing wrong it's just that you haven't trained her properly to go in the right place, you need to go out with her in the morning (not just let her out by herself ) and wait until she goes then give her lots of praise and she then won't want to go again until her lunchtime walk. you've probably told the poor thing off so much that she's afraid to go while you're there so holds onto it until you go out. I've seen this so many times with dog owners they don't find out how to train a dog they just punish them for what is a natural function and the dogs turn into emotional wrecks, and as for rubbing the poor dogs nose in it that is downright cruel, would you do that to a baby or young child who has an accident. I think it would be a good idea if you read up a bit about dog training otherwise you'll end up with a nervous wreck of a dog. I've said my piece !!!
She does not know that 'this is bad'.
What she DOES know is that everytime you come home you shout at her and rub her nose in her poo!!! This is making HER more stressed and she is beginning to dread you coming home, hence she does what all animals do when they are stressed, wee and poo! I bet your dog walker never finds anything when he/she comes to take her out - probably because they don't shout at her.
You can only tell a dog off if you catch it in the act of doing something wrong - not half an hour/two hours later. She thinks that you are telling her off for greeting you.
What you should do is take her out and give her lots of praise when she does something. You should not say anything to her when you find the mess, just quietly clean it up (don't use bleach) preferably with her in another room.
You could also try confining her to one room when you are out (not the room with the rug in) or try picking up the rug when you go out.

Its getting you stressed? Its getting me stressed just reading about how cruel you are to your poor innocent dog that you should not have anyway if you are out at work for so long. For dog's sake do what I do and get up half an hour earlier and exercise her properly if you won't do the right thing by her and find her a decent home.
Yeah it also gets on my t*ts when you make assumptions, its 3 days a week a work and like i've already said somebody comes to sit with her and take her out for a couple of hours a day.
Most people leave there pet in the kitchen or wherever when they are in bed for 8 - 9 hours, Khia sleeps in my bed with me so isnt left of her own alot.
As an 18 year old living alone i dont have loads of money to pay for dog walkers - No. They would only do the same as my friends/family do when they come round anyway.
You make it seem as if my dog is a nervous reck, she's one of the happiest and most out going dogs i've came across.
And as for a caring loving home, thats what i give her. Khia was going to a dogs home as she was mis-treated when i got her, so keep your rude opions to youself. Me having her is alot better than her being a dog kennel 23 hours a day.
