Why does my dog keep pooing in my house?
I have a staffy whos 20 months and whenever im at work or pop out she poos in my living room even though i let her out first thing in the morning.
When im at work someone always comes to take her on a walk and when i return i let her out for the loo, but shes already gone on my rug.
I've also brought her training pads what i've put near the front door but she doesnt use them. She knows this is bad as she gets scared when i come home.
I've rubbed her nose in it, shouted.. but nothing works?
Can anybody help em as its really getting me stressed, is it anything to do with what i feed her?? I've been told all dogs can hold it in for quite a long time is this true?

She poos because she needs to poo!!!! and obviously cannot hold it in!
I hardly think she is doing it deliberately to annoy you!
Have a heart and treat this with a bit more animal understanding!!!!

Just read your post, I had the same problem with my staffy bitch. I also have a staffy dog trained them both the same way and the dog was clean within 7 days and the bitch took ages. However the good news is she is now clean.. I never punished her for accidents just made lots of fuss when she got it right. As I have for all my dogs. Just watch what time you feed her, making sure she has the right amount for her size. If you get a routine the she will poo every day at the same time and you need to make sure that this before work. Staffies will eat & eat so could be the amount of food you are giving her that may be a problem. Treats count as food. Good luck
