Ooo Spring has arrived in your area. How lovely. Whereabouts are you?
I noticed a lone crocus in flower on the back lawn this morning. My grape hyacinths have been in flower for a couple of weeks too.

North Yorks ladybirder,I have buds on them all it's incredible.
North Yorkshire!! Oh how lucky are you. I used to live there and it's my favourite part of the country.
Question Author
Not seen a crocus yet,but still have roses in bloom although the wind has finished them off today.

Where abouts ladybirder?
In a hamlet a good few miles northwest of Harrogate. Where are you?
Question Author
A village between Malton and Scarborough.
I have Osteospernum (not sure about that spelling, lol) in the window boxes at the front of the house and they are flowering too! Very strange! But it is freezing cold with high winds and off and on torrential rain!
Ah, the North Yorkshire Moors as opposed to the Yorkshire Dales. All very beautiful though.
Question Author
Yes it is a lovely area. The hamlet wouldnt be Brearton would it?,just that my oh visits a farm near Harrogate and it sprung to mind.
Question Author
It is strange isn't it carakeel? It's been mild here though.
My Osteospernum that flowered in pots all summer are flowering again and I saw passion flower out in the sheltered area of garden.
I was pottering about on the front patio yesterday and noticed our three dwarf rhododendrons were all covered in buds, didn't notice anything else coming through yet.
Yes, it`s weird isn`t it? I live in Cornwall southerly, so obviously our weather is better than up north. Daffodils have been flowering since end of November and in some sheltered bits of land and gardens some have nearly finished flowering now! x
