Does anyone have any advice. Local cat(s) seem to like my side drying green to crap on at frequent intervals. Never had this problem before and have owned cats myself. Don't mind them having a wee scrape and burying their business but this is just lying on top. Is there anything I could spray that wouldn't harm either my grass or the cats - don't want to hurt them as I'm a cat lover - just to stop leaving me messages!
Could try leaving bits of orange and lenon peel all over the grass or providing a little pactch of dig over soil which they would prefer... nothing a cat likes more than a carefully prepared seed bed
Thanks for the suggestions grasscarp. Rowan, my garden has been well dug but they just seem to ignore it and crap on the grass. Ladybirder, haven't actually seen it happen but neighbour across the road has 3 cats which are often in my garden. They also seem to be locked out at night so have become the number one suspects. What else could it be?
Main culprit probably a fox I would have thought. I'm not saying it isn't a cat but cats usually go on earth so they can dig a wee hole and then fill it in again. It's in their DNA. I quite often find a bit of fox poo in our borders here. Have a good sniff Maggie if you dare, cat poo is vile, really vile, especially if it's fed on manufactured cat food:-)
Sorry this doesn't really help you.
