Are dog fleas the same as cat fleas?

Can they use them as a host though?
Hi Ummmm :-) AFAIK dog and cat fleas are different subspecies, they can survive on different hosts but not for very long
I never get bitten by fleas. My OH does. I wonder why that is?

ps we do treat our cat but are usually prompted by him getting bitten :-)
It might be that certain blood groups are less attractive as with mosquitoes.
Some people are more prone to being bitten due to criteria eg. their blood group, their sugar intake etc etc.

mosquitoes tend to leave me alone as well :-)
No but the majority of fleas that are found on dogs are cat fleas!
