Nesting?

Would coal tits be nesting already? We've got snow on the ground but a coal tit keeps visiting the liner of my hanging basket, pulls out a few strands and flies off. Back a few minutes later for more. Seems rather early?

I've also noticed that some great and blue tit's in and out of nest boxes, in between feeding at the bird-table.

I think they're checking out potential nest sites now
