The Large breed foods are generally a better food for your dog as it has different requirements for bone structure to the smaller breeds, personally I wouldnt touch any of the commercial foods, we just feed raw meet and bone diets with a few veg and extra omega3 etc, it works really well for our wolfhounds but does take commitment and time.
If you want more information on RAW feeding just google "BARF diet"

BARF= Bones And Raw Food"

Many professional breeders are now going this way, especially those with the bigger breeds.
My grown wolfhounds get Iams or Eukanuba dry food for large breeds, and the puppy gets the puppy version. It has to be said that, like human children, they love the 'junk food' of 'meaty chunks', but I only give that as an occasional treat on top of the regular meals.

You have to feed something which is formulated for the particular needs of a large breed like a St Bernard. This is particularly important when they are puppies; which in their case means far older than 6 months; because they grow so fast.
How old is the dog? Large breed puppies need a low protein diet as the grow to insure their bone grows as slowly and as strongly as possible. As such adult complete foods are generally better even from an early age.

I was looking to see if there was a forum you could join as a Bernie owner... this is about all I can find...maybe ask for help on there

I feed my German Shepherd large breed Eukanuba and he has a breakfast of raw chicken wings. The best person to advise you would be the breeder of your dog, or the secretary of the breed club who has them herself.
Are there any annoying children in your neighbourhood? They would make a tasty snack for your Dino.
Not sure wildwood. In my experience, dogs never swallow the bits! It follows that they don't regard human flesh as palatable.
