Gosh just watched Michael Portillo and I never knew that The Lion, the Witch and the wardrobe had religious connotations! Hija ( not Gina) loved that series of books and films.

I know a lady on FB whose partner is a vicar. They are quite relaxed about their children's religious education. The children do go to church but they aren't being indoctrinated and its the sort of church that has story time rather than sunday school. Elder daughter (aged 5) came back from church one sunday and Mum, who had stayed at home with new born asked her if she had enjoyed story time. She rolled her eyes "Well" she said "it was about Jesus AGAIN"

My dad was a master tailor. But we did go to church, I wanted to be a missionary! Then I discovered life!!

I used to go to Sunday school and Mum used to give me sixpence for the collection.I didn't mind going because I used to spend thruppence of it on a quarter of pear drops in the sweet shop on the way.I had a good thing going until she found out :)

I've been in town yet I g to get hija another sim.card for her phone but as she's in Barcelona it's more difficult. I also paid a 100€ traffic fine of hers! And is she grateful? Not one bit!
I've had to.bleach a bedroom wall and its going very black so also did th3 bathroom tiles while I was at it. Now making Moroccan vegetable tagine with a side dish of chicken, dates and nuts. Im hungry but dont know what I fancy!

Just been out for a Valentines lunch. We don't do soppy so was delicious and appreciated.

I left the house for the first time in quite a while, went for a walk and everything. Isn't that exciting.

Hello all
Lovely day again,very springlike.Hope it lasts awhile.
Nothing exciting here really,just medical mystery stuff.
My brother has an appointment at Moorefields in London next week about his eye.They can't seem to decide from the biopsy whether or not it's cancerous so he has to see a specialist as it's a rare thing apparently.
I've made a fruit loaf cake and it's in the oven and shall have a slice with my coffee later.
Hope you're all ok.Where's Robinia ?

woofgang, I had a teeny weeny Long Island Iced Tea last night, then sat down to watch a recorded film, I covered myself with a nice rug, put it on to fast forward to get through the ads ... and next thing I knew the film was over and I was being rudely awakened by OH.

I thought I'd been out for an hour but it was probably only 10 minutes, because of the fast forwarding.

that's funny Jno.....how teeny weeny was that cocktail? I am having canadian whisky and ginger ale tonight.....my first alcohol in weeks and its pretty delicious. I haven't been abstaining, just didn't fancy it.
