Jay

Just watching a beautiful jay hopping from fence to fence in my garden. Small birds have scattered though. Think jays may be predatory birds but not sure.

Both the Jay and the Magpie are Corvids or Crows if you prefer!

One of my favorite birds!
They mostly eat nuts and berries but will also take insects, small mammals and young birds, when the autumn comes, their main food then is acorns, those that they don't eat are buried for later consumption.
They will not remember where every acorn is buried, so this will help the spread of oak trees.
