Hi shaneystar ,they're gorgeous aren't they! I have 2 of the kitten size ones, and they always get comments from visitors! So cute!

shaneystar Thank you so much!!!  You have solved a mystery for me.

About 15 yrs ago my Aunt gave me a gift of a pottery Siamese cat she found in the local antique shop. I have always wondered about the maker's signature and the no.2 on the paw. As soon as I clicked on your link I could spot the similarity, the signatures match and I now know why it has a number. I have a winstanley cat!

I am so glad I found AB it's a gold mine of information and you really are a true star!

Thanks again

Hi shaneystar, "WOW" what an excellent site, the cat's are lovely and so life like, their eye's look so real this lady is so clever and talented.  Thank you.  xxx :-)

They are lovely.
Your one could be quite valuable cherrybomb.
It's a lovely pottery .They have a large collection of railway memorabilia there too. Also all the cats that haven't fired properly or have a chip or crack from the kiln are all out in among the plants in the garden. The owner is the son of the lady who started doing them in London ,and I think they were first called Kensington Cats.My niece is thrilled with hers.
That's really interesting shaneystar, never knew about the kensington cats thing!

Apparently she has been making them now for forty years and met her husband in Kensington when she was had just left art college.he had a pottery there and she worked for him and then married him. Then they headed to North Walsham and opened the pottery.
Tells you all about her here.....very talented lady.

Thanks shaney, will get a proper look through that tomorrow!!

I happen to live in the town where they are made.

If you have photos of your cat they can do a custom paint job on one of their models. Its what I did for the wife last christmas. And it didnt cost a lot more

The number on the paw is the size of the model
