What Do You Wish You Were Good At?

Barry just posted a video of Happy Talk from South Pacific which automatically had me trilling.  When I stopped for breath I said to my husband, 'I really wish I could sing'.  'So do I', he said.  

Moving on ... what would you like to be good at?

Sprinting. I didn't from

being age 13 on and off into my early 20's. I enjoyed it so much and it was a way to keep fit but could never get more than 14.4 secs at 100m

I'd love to be able to sing, I wish I could draw.  My wife wishes I were better at DIY.  Good job I could rely on my good looks and great sense of humour to get me through life 😐

Playing a musical instrument.  Preferably classical guitar or piano.  I was a good singer.  Not any more!!

Funnily enough I did learn the basics of guitar playing - I could get through Frankie and Johnie and a few others but I couldn't tune the blasted thing.  No electronic tuners back then.

I always wanted to play the piano so as an adult I decided to have lessons.  Unfortunately, I was useless at it as I couldn't get both hands to work together.  My dream didn't come true!

Yes, I'd have liked to know about music properly. We had "music lessons" at school but spent most of the time being taught to sing the school song in Latin. What a waste. (I mean I can still sing the whole thing umpteen decades later, but who cares.)

Dancing, and singing. My music teacher at secondary school said that I 'sang with gusto and very little else. I did take piano lessons as a gel and even have cestificats to prove it  😁 I can't play a note now

I would love to play in an orchestra.

I have a son who is a good musician and can play quite a few instruments by ear.  I'm so envious!

I wish I was more adventurous and took more risks. I don't even like going on most fairground rides. And I really, really, really wish I could swim properly and wasn't afraid of the water.

I'm not good at anything any more.  It's so frustrating.  Can't draw any more, knit or crochet any more,  garden any more.  I was such a busy person.  I can still chatter away though and I'm very good at bossing Mr L about!
