I have 2 rabbits and one of them really isn't well at the moment and I have taken her to the vets today and they asked me to bring her back tomorrow as they don't keep them over night.. but I don't think she will make it through the night :o(.. But my Q is actually about my other rabbit who I was told was a female when I bought her back in September. She was 8 weeks old then. Lately I have noticed that she squirts urine out from the back of her and constantly tries to rub her chin on things!! Someone told me that thats what the male rabbits do and if thats true then she is infact male! Does anyone know if thats what they do? My other rabbit (the poorly one) is 6 months older and she never did that and I know she is female.

Thanks xx

Ruby I had a male rabbit who used to do this when he got to about a year old its a marking their territory thing. Its very difficult to tell if a rabbit is male or female particularly when you buy them young so your he may well be a she! Im really sorry your other rabbit isnt doing so well hopefully she will bounce back pardon the pun !!! x

Hmmm I might have to take her up the vets to see what she is then. Her name is Coffee so I won't need to change it if she is a boy. :o)

My other rabbit is not well at all. I have just gone and checked on her. I have to take her to the vets tomorrow. Wish me luck :o(

Ruby what is going on with her?

Sorry - I know how stressful it is when a pet is very unwell :(

ahh Ruby good luck Im sending my happy vibes for you. Its so hard when a pet is unwell you wish they could tell you whats up. Can be really heartbreaking but the vet will do the very best they can for them

Hey Estie hun. She is poorly.. :o( *sniff sniff*.. She had a tummy blockage months ago and the vets sorted her out but now he is saying it might have done some damage to her intestines! :o(

I will know more tomorrow. xx

Thanks Spk hun. I am worried about her. I have had her since she was 8 weeks old. She would follow me round the house and just be behind me all the time and she put her head on my knee and I stoke her cheeks. She is such a sweetie. xx

I took her to the vets this morning but she had gotten worse in the night and the vet called an hour later to say he thinks they should put her down. I am devastated. :o(
Oh Rubyrose I'm so sorry. I know how it feels and nothing I can say will make it better. Loads of hugs and kisses.

Electriclue - Thanks hun. I have never really lost a pet before. I had pets as a kid but never really remembered them dying.. guess I just wasn't told! But now it hurts so much. She was my little baby and now she is gone. :o( xx
Rubyrose,
I am sincerely sorry to hear about your pet rabbit, as I know how heartbreaking it is to lose a pet.
Try and take comfort from the fact that you gave her a happy life with your affection and care for her.

Thinking of you, X

I guess I just need to take my mind of it. My friend took me to the theatre tonight and we had a laugh.. but I was still thinking of the bunny. Now I am watching Lost .. again and eating minstrels. :o)

xxxxx

Ahh good I know Sawyer will cheer you up! Tell the little fox that I say hi !!! And minstrels ahhh I can never suck them I have to eat them before they can melt ! That was good to get out and do domething nice it will get easier as the days pass but I know its tough x Have a cup of PROPER tea with the minstrels too. YUM !
Question Author

I was trying to do that with the minstrels. Suck them but I always end up crunching them and starting again. Must be something in them and nothing to do with the fact I am a greedy bug*er! Lol

I am having Lost withdrawals. I have seen up to episode 12 of series 2 but I need more.

I have a new one on tonight hurrah ! Cant wait ! I will be setting up camp in the living room to get the best seat from as soon as I get home. When you backpack you need to be quick ! No minstrels for me though just crappy australian chocolate which is completely different. They dont do chocolate good :o(
