Anyone with a toy poodle? What colours do poodles come in? I've seen black, white and grey. What sort of pet do they make? I'm interested to see how big toy poodles get once they are fully grown and what they look like if you leave their coat to grow naturally rather than have them styled. If anyone has or knows where I can get pics from that'd be great.

Thanks

according to my daughters dog magazine standard poodles grow to 38cm+. they come im black, white, cream, silver, grey and red apricot. you don't have to have their fur styled but because poodles don't moult they do need to be trimmed regularly. if not the dog will first become uncomfortable and later sick from the weight of the fur. it will also get very knotted. poodles are tough, intelligent and hardy. they are considered, (by daughters mag), to be the perfect pooch!!
I think cameo means toy poodles grow to about 38cm. Standard poodles (much, much nicer in my humble opinion), grow to about the size of a labrador.

The minature is in between the two.

i stand corrected. must be a misprint in the mag. how are kids suppose to learn anything these days!!!
We used to have a toy poodle and yes they are lovely dogs. Very intelligent and affectionate. they don't shed hair which makes them a good choice for people with allegies or who just don't want dog hair everywhere but you do need to groom and bath them though you don't have to have their hair cut in the poncy styles that many people one of which is called lion cut where they all fluffy at front and shaved at back. Colours and sizes as mentioned before. Black ones can go grey with age, not sure about others
