People have been talking about flying ants - but here up north we've had swarms of tiny black beetle type things - bigger and rounder than thunder flies. They seem to like light coloured clothes the best and were all over my washing as well as the clothes we were wearing. Anyone know what they are?

we have these as well,or at least i think its the same thing! When they cut the corn here last week we were swarmed by the corn flies which are just like black crawling specks of dirt, but drive you mad as they get in everywhere, even in my PC screen!! But now we also have what I call thunder bugs - they are very small and black, but hard, and they tend to go for all the bright coloured clothing on the washing line.
