I expect you will get comments that you are a killjoy, etc, but I agree that fireworks should not be on sale to the general public, any more than toxic chemicals, etc.
Best wishes.

Happy to sign. Round our neck of the woods fireworks seem to start around mid October and go until Christmas/New Years and they're becoming a real pain. Nobody wants to be a killjob, but quite apart from terrifying animals and elderly people, they are just getting into the wrong hands and being used as another form of anti-social behaviour in our streets and public places.
Can someone clarify what it means. Although we did enjoy a display at my dads house on sunday I think fireworks should be for licensed individuals to use only and certainly not on two for one at ASDA but I think only certain dates is a bit ermm OTT and that would never get the go ahead. I knwo people who have them at the end of weddings and things, new years, bonfire night etc etc.... Surely if they were for only just licensed individuals and warnings had to be given out within a certain distance of a display happening.
As everybody has said it's not just one day it goes on for days, and the louts who get ther hands on them, I mean did you see the CCTV footage earlier in the week were some thug set of a multi rocket firework in a paper shop. the fact is fireworks are dangerous and can be fatal if not used properly and should not be available to the general public
A very good link (and not just for animal lovers)
