Cat Castration

My cat was castrated 4 days ago and has just shown sexual urges toward his sister (who was spayed also 4 days ago) Is this normal for a catstrated cat? are they still supposed to have urges? Our other male cat has never shown any towars our older female cat-both have also been spayed and castrated!

It will probably take a short time for his hormones to settle. Hopefully things will settle down. However I am presuming that they are young cats.

I think that if my Frankie approached his sister, Merlin, in such a manner she would beat the crap out of him. She takes no prisoners.

he will still have the hormones in his system for a while yet. As for urges. I have a male persian who was neutered a couple of days before I got him. As soon as he arrived here he tried to bonk one of my other neutered boys. He continued to do this until that boy died and then he switched his attention to my other boy. We also have a girl but he has never shown any interest in her, which is fortunate because she would flatten him! We also had a boy years ago who was neutered at six months old but continued to mate with soft toys. He was very loud and passionate about it. He was not interested in my other cats , just soft toys. I have mentioned it to the vet about both of them, but he says they are not doing any harm, why spoil their fun? lol

It's no help but I had to laugh at reading persianlady's response. It just reminded me of one of my old cats (Eric - sadly no longer with us) who used to sit down in front of anyone, legs akimbo and wash himself very enthusiastically. It was embarassing at times but he obviously enjoyed it!
