I am getting bitten to death at the moment, they're not like any insect bites iv had before though. I have checked for bed bugs but to no avail. I have found a few tiny pale grey roundish bugs in my sitting room but i cant find out what they are and if they are the cause of my bites. Said bites are yery small hardish white lumps that itch loads. Can any one help me?

catch one and take it to enviromental health dept. They should be able to tell you what they are & how 2 get shot of them. Got any dogs, cats or other pets that could have something on them?
Could be midges, they are around at the mo. Do you live near water?
We've got small black flies around in the house this time of year and those little blighters bite exactly as you describe. A can of spray or a newspaper and quick reflexes sorts 'em out.
Sound like ticks to me. Check pets for ticks and fleas. Not sure about ticks, but animal fleas will bite humans if there's nothing else on the menu. Also check that it is not an allergic reaction to food, plants in the garden, washing powder, etc etc.
What u r describing is what we call in Scotland berry bug bites, these r small mites that live in the grass and tend to disappear when the weather turns colder. The best thing to put on them is either t tree or lavender oil. Hope this helps.
