Changing Look
10 Answers
I've gotten sick of being mrs.perfect with my expensive abercrombie and fitch, and Hollister clothing that costs way to much and plus people think your a prep when you where it,even though i'm not. I'm a total tomboy and the only reason i wore that stuff in the first place was just because i liked the way it looked not because i was trying to be better than anyone.
But now i'm totally trying to change my apperance so people don't think of me that way so i've already made a hair apointment and i'm gonna get my hair chopped off into shaggy layers and then i'm gonna dye it a dark brown almost black color ( my hair is light brown right now ).I'm not just dying my hair to change what people think about me, i'm doing it because i want to and plus i think it would look good, plus it fits my personality better. And right now i've been shopping for some different types of clothing that i would of never thought of wearing before, those wide arm bracelets, not that tight of jeans, and kind of mix-match colors in my outfits. (not everything has to match) I've just gotten sick of people thinking i'm some stuck up prep just by what i wear.well tell me what ya think. Need help fast my scool starts on the 25th. Thanks

But can I just say, trying to be someone else because of what people say/think is such a bad idea because you will be in constant conflict with yourself! Would you not rather be comfortable in your own skin (clothes) than lose yourself to the hype? The best advice I was ever given is that You should be your own best friend .
I know it's hard in school - hell, when I was at school I would've told today's beenee to **** off, but I SO wish I knew then what I know now: That the people that matter will accept you, however you dress!
I myself went through many changes in those years...what is important more then anything is how your new look makes "YOU" feel. If you like it,great,if not, dont staythat way to please others. It is great to expriment with new looks and alot of fun. I think we all do this in one form or another,it is just part of growing up. I dyed my hair blonde...and then black. I liked them both. what is important is how it makes you feel...go for it.
