(Ignore my post below this one, it's the same clip but I forgot to ask:)

The footage and photos looks like the sixties. Does anyone remember the story of this reunion

It's just that it hasn't been that way before and most other windows open up normal-size, except when I come from AB, which seems to affect other sites as well...! (i.e. the first one I click after leaving AB.) Great-sounding tip jno, it didn't work but I'll try to remember it, it may work in other instances - it has a whiz kid ring to it.

Hi Neti, how's Charlie dude doing? Did you see my message above.
I did love thanks, but in all truth I don't know how's he's getting on. He's just so thin and only eats a wee nibble, his bones are sticking through his skin, but vet says he should get over it on his own. We have some clamoxyl for him, but as he rarely eats or drinks it's hard to get it down him, simply can't grab him as he's way too fragile, hopefully he'll be on the mend. His sore runny nose is clearing up now so maybe it'll all get better. I hope and pray so.
a great-sounding tip... that didn't work. Sorry about that. It does happen once in a while to my computer, I never know why.
I think you should see the vet again Neti (or another one), I really do. I don't know if cat flu is the same as human flu but if it is it may also affect for instance kidneys or whatever - I shouldn't say too much as I don't know too much... except perhaps the vet doesn't realize quite how tired Charlie really is.

Ort ort ort, I like your new drawings Vinny. That's quite a fan club you've worked up over at RMD. / More Cambridge piccies on their way? We want more, don't we biddies.

Wings of Desire on the telly tonight, I saw it over and over again when it came out but that was a while ago so I'm hoping to be able to stay awake (pray for me) to see how I like it this time around.
Ha ha ha, I wasn't being sarcastic or anything jno, I'm sure it does often work!
HI All

When I'm opening AB it comes up full screen. Kit and I'm not clever enough to help you, sorry.

I do hope Charlie gets better Neti. I know what it is like to have a sick pet I really do.

I'm off out in half and hour for a meal with friends I grew up with. They still live in the same area we were all born and grew up in. I left when I was about 13 but we have kept in touch ever since. We meet up at Christmas for a 'chinwag' about what has happened to us throughout the year.

What's happened to you Vinny haven't seen you much lately, you're not desertin us are you.

Well I'm off now for a feed up I'm 'starving'

See yer later 'gater(s) x

Morning all - Hope you are all well.

Well Kit it's not that easy getting the vet, as he only comes a couple of times a week, and he'll have to come to my house as Charlie was feral and goes mad in a car, couldn't put him through that. Will go now to see if he can make today. Charlie is the same, very quiet but I think he's getting better slowly! (fingers crossed!)
<mmm, I see Leo coughed some of them back up...a bit tough & gristly I suppose>

Good morning all from the frozen Midlands - but Jude will know that unless she's sleeping off last night's dinner.
erm... yes, seems she went late night shopping
I don't mind the crisp frosty mornings but it's always a cue for half the world to sit revving their bloomin' engines up at the crack of dawn or to leave them running while they go back inside for a 3 course breakfast....tut.

I get a small window when I open up links but that's how I prefer it. That way I can keep an eye on you lot at the same time.

Glad you enjoyed your birthday revelries Kit. No rockin' 'n rollin' on The Good Ship then? I kept my eye on the webcam in case you decided to disembark on the wrong side...I see your snow's disappeared today btw.
That gloveless man should think himself lucky
look at the bovva that I have to cope with
Top of the Morning to you.
Thanks for asking jude a jude jude.!
I did venture in ere the other day and popped back later, the lights were on but alas there was nobody at home.I shall miss Woolies,it was the first store I ever nicked from ( i was 9 )They use to sell this wonderfull fruit cake at 2/6d a half.I remember kipping down the beach the ole summer in the sixties and popping in woolies for some broken bisquits 6d a half pound, its what kept us Hippies going. There was a young girl working there, and she asked me if I was george harrison, yep I am and could she only put the broken chocky ones in the bag.hehe..! bless her.
the sun is shining, the weather is fine.Hope its nice on the street where you live.(*_*)
xmas 1983
Morning All and good to see you Vin When I was at senior school I worked at Woolworths every Saturday for the whole day and I got the princely sum of 50p (10s) and with my paper round made enough to go dancing and buy a few clothes. My Mum used to lend me money as well and I paid her back weekly. As it turned out I managed my finances quite well with her help.
I worked on the plant and flowers counter. I had to go up on the roof every Saturday morning and fetch them all down and display them on the counter. It was the tyoe of counter where you had to walk up and down in the middle and serve from there. I loved it. When I left school I worked in an office, then I went nursing, but I think I should have stayed in a shop because I ended up doing 17 years at Sainsburys.
It's a lovely crisp day here with bright sunshine which has melted the ice off my car. I didn't have a hangover from my meal out as I was driving as usual. We had a lovely carvery at The Littleover Lodge Hotel. I had soup, pork and all the trimmings and profiteroles with chocolate sauce and cream.
And would you believe I'm off out again tonight with about 22 friends from work for another meal. Another carvery too. Probably have turkey this time.
Anyway I'm off now have a good day everbody x
heavens, did people really drink and smoke? And go to Woolworths? Or was it just at Christmas? How times have changed

Anyone remember this song which I bought in Woolies, they always did cheap "cover" versions of the hit parade, although we were all too ashamed to admit that we bought them!!
I loved those old wooden counters that Woolies had, and the Sainsbury's which had marble tops and a wire cheese cutter, Loved it!
Vet's been, says there's nothing more he can do, Charlie has a slight temperature and chill, but seems to be on the mend, although he is so thin that he could take a turn for the worst! Feed him anything that he fancies, which today is a nibble of Corned Beef! His little pink nose is now healed from cold sores and has stopped running, just have to build him up again.
I do hope Charlie gets well soon Neti
Just listened to Like I do . I do remember it very well....
Evening all. Well that film (wings of desire) was just as good 21 years later. And that's where I first found darling Nick Cave.

Glad to hear that Charlie seems to be on the mend, Neti. You're gonna have to consult your Jamie Oliver files for tidbits for him. Thanks BTW. I'm not much of a cook as I don't have a freezer (the kitchenette is too small) but my eldest sister brought me some garlic&herb seasoning that is sooooo goooood... rye bread, butter, tomato and those herbs, that's all you need. Neti the song you posted made me remember I've Told Every Little Star - don't know why?? ...perhaps it's just the dum-de-dum thing.

Yup not much snow left now but we had truck loads of it on Saturday and later on a storm which delayed flight departures for both my sisters even though they didn't leave on the same day. One of the things we did was we went to Liljevalchs Art Gallery to see an exhibition the title of which might translate to something like The Big Colour Bang. It deals with three early twentieth century painters who were all Matisse students: sigrid hjertn/at the theatre, her husband isaac grnewald/the singing tree and their friend leander engstrm who eventually became more influenced by Cezanne as you can see here. Can't really say I'm fond of any of them but I do like the "colour bangs" of Hjertn and Grnewald, who, by the way, were married to each other. Anyway, this art gallery has a fantastic restaurant called Bl Porten (Blue Gate), it's so lovely in the summer but it isn't half bad in the winter either so we had lunch there, and... oh I'm running out of space here...
(Oh dear now they'll think we wear knitted hats in the summer... correction: that was NOT a summer piccy from Blue Gate! But it was from Blue Gate.)
goodness, jno jnr has just turned up with some tickets for Twickers tomorrow - imagine, me watching rugby... haven't done that live since we used to stand in the rain watching him play for his school... and the last time I was at Twickers it was for the Stones, but I suspect this time there won't be the giant screens so we can see what is happening (plus this time all the performers will be under 60). And I gather there are all sort of new rules so I won't understand any of it anyway.

Then we're orf to Tunisia first thing in the morning... then we're back for a day before swanning orf to gay Paree...

So it may be a while before you hear from me... in fact it may be never because as I understand the posts in News, millions of Tunisian Muslims will be waiting to massacre me the moment I step off the plane... Still, I shall just have to adjust to living in fear. <Sweeps out tossing maundy money to the poor biddies in the gutters>
yes, yes Kit, we know you wear wooly hats all the time...just as I always carry a handbag. I love those paintings, I like colourful, 'busy' art.

half crowns at the ready!

But you do always carry a handbag don't you Robinia? this is you isn't it...?

Have a safe trip jno and a nice one too. Ah, gay Paree, I remember it well... nice city but the French can be a bit difficult with foreigners you know...
