Evening all. Well that film
(wings of desire) was just as good 21 years later. And that's where I first found darling Nick Cave.
Glad to hear that Charlie seems to be on the mend,
Neti. You're gonna have to consult your Jamie Oliver files for tidbits for him. Thanks BTW. I'm not much of a cook as I don't have a freezer (the kitchenette is too small) but my eldest sister brought me some garlic&herb seasoning that is sooooo goooood... rye bread, butter, tomato and those herbs, that's all you need. Neti the song you posted made me remember I've Told Every Little Star - don't know why?? ...perhaps it's just the dum-de-dum thing.
Yup not much snow left now but we had truck loads of it on Saturday and later on a storm which delayed flight departures for both my sisters even though they didn't leave on the same day. One of the things we did was we went to Liljevalchs Art Gallery to see an exhibition the title of which might translate to something like The Big Colour Bang. It deals with three early twentieth century painters who were all Matisse students:
sigrid hjertn/at the theatre, her husband
isaac grnewald/the singing tree and their friend
leander engstrm who eventually became more influenced by Cezanne as you can see here. Can't really say I'm fond of any of them but I do like the "colour bangs" of Hjertn and Grnewald, who, by the way, were married to each other. Anyway, this art gallery has a fantastic restaurant called Bl Porten (Blue Gate), it's so lovely
in the summer but it isn't half bad in the winter either so we had lunch there, and... oh I'm running out of space here...
