They've been arriving for quite a while:

I have never seen one. :-(

I have recently seen several Blue Footed Boobies, though. So, that's OK.

80 waxwings in your front garden, trumps blue footed boobies:-)
Have you seen a Blue Footed Bobby, Melv?
I have a lot of rose hips in the hedgerows near me, so I'll be keeping an eye out for them.

Thanks.
Blue Footed Bobbies don't eat berries. They eat fish.
Question Author
Is that a policeman in winter with no shoes on, Tilly? LOL
No, that's a Blue Footed Bobby, an entirely different species, as well you know, Melv. Good answeer, though.
Boobies!

Boobies!

Where Where ?.
There, there!
Question Author
Are the boobies soaped up;-)
Some may remember I had them in my garden a couple of years ago,my first and only time (waxwings, not boobies). Well known British birds I've never seen include hawfinch and avocet, birds I haven't seen for years include Bullfinch.
Thanks for that excellent link, Melv!
Seems like east Anglia is a hot bed at the moment.
Question Author
They're in Rastrick, West Yorkshire. They'll soon be in sunny Sheffield :-)
Question Author
They're getting closer. Some have been seen near Sheffield. There's also a couple of shags on a nearby reservoir ;-)
Question Author
It can go with the other pair of rare old birds that live in the midlands :-)
