The blackbird wars have started in the garden, the bluetits are investigating the nest boxes, the starlings are gathering nesting material and the robin is singing a particularly beautiful song. Yesterday, we saw a pair of kestrels flying low over the fields. seeing one is a bonus. Seeing two is a real treat.
I've not got a cat (I'd love one though, but also wouldn't)
I've been saving up for a proper bird feeder as my garden isn't massive so i think the birds wouldn't like to feed off the floor as they may feel trapped by my fence, so i'm saving up for a feeder with a small table and a few hooks to dangle some suet balls from. A couple of the clients that i work for have similar ones but gosh they're expensive unless you get lucky in B&M or Lidle / Aldi
My 'local' b&m is 20 minutes away though so i can't check often but it does have a small indoors garden section near the iceland.
Beautiful day here in Dundee - blue sky and the sun is shining. Still a tad chilly though. Just been out to fill the bird feeders and seem to have all the usual suspects - sparrows, bluetits, coal tits, pigeons etc. Hope the gulls stay away, they're a real menace.
