Flowers on a fig?
557 Answers
I have a nice brown Turkey fig tree in a pot. I get about six figs a year and very nice they are too. BUT I have never seen any flowers on my fig tree, just suddenly tiny figs appear. So...do figs flower and if so when and what do the flowers look like? and if figs don't flower, where do the tiny figs come from??

This is the meat pudding in the microwave.
225g SR Flour
Pinch of salt
100g shredded suet 175-200ml water.
Filling
25g butter
2medium onions diced
100g musrooms chopped
1 garlic clove crushed
1tsp dried mixed herbs..I use herbs de provence
ground black pepper..a good twist.
Half a teaspoon meat extract ..I just crumble an oxo cube in it.
350gm mince
Make the pastry ..line a 2pt pudding basin and roll out the rest for the lid and set aside.
In another bowl ..butter,onions,mushrooms,garlic,herbs salt and pepper to taste Cover and cook for 5mins.
Stir in the mince and oxo, cover and cook for 4 mins.Stir halfway through.
Drain off excess liquid.
Bung it in your lined basin .pastry lid on and seal. Cover loosely with cling film and cook for 9 mins.
This is based on cooking all the ingredients at 700w in your microwave.
I managed to get a copy of the book from Abebooks.
There is also a recipe for steamed sponge puds in the microwave.I made a jam one last night for pudding and it was lovely ..with custard.
You need something to stick to your ribs in this weather!
Thank you for your recipe

Robinia won the Euromillions? And all I got was a squashed roll of Izal.....
I am off to take my pooch for a walk and then..I have to wade through a small mountain of ironing.I am ashamed to admit there are things in the bottom of my ironing basket from last summer !

shaney rather than go to the bother of ironing, surely there's a gallery somewhere near that would accept it as an art installation commenting on the passage of time or something?
Suppose you must be able to buy euromillions tickets but can't think of anyone local. Do the same people sell them as sell the lotto?
