Disappointed

I honestly thought this was going to be a fun site for sharing info and debating, discovering opinions and so on but the more I visit the more "closed shop" it appears to be. Messages going to and fro with smudge, netibiza, silly moo, InAPickle (as was), FP, graemer (and his extra wife situation) so I won't forget Robinia - everyone else can join in (unless for some obscure reason they are benned) but no community spirit is shown and the impression I get is I'm intruding on protected ground. I'm sure I will have offended many souls and I am sorry as that is not my intention but it is not nice to feel so excluded from a virtual situation and I felt I needed to give my opinion.

It's alright, Artful - your name's on the guest list! Don't forget that most of even the chattiest posters don't actually know each other personally, so it can't be that cliquey. I did feel much the same as you at first, but I just took the plunge, joined in some threads, and was delighted to find no-one said "who asked you?" or anything similar :-) Glad your mind's been put at rest!

BTW, CORBYLOON - this is my 499th answer. I'm getting dead excited now. What kind of chocolate cake is it exactly? I hope it doesn't go all squishy in the post. Mmmm. littleoldme like chocky cake. Num num num.
