ah thanks Robinia but it's not that warm, in fact I think it was a flush, as it's cooler now. Haven't had to use my tumble drier for the first time this winter.

I would like a medal please. I've just baked an apple pie for my son and his fiancee for the first time since I can't remember when!! It looks good but I don't know what it'll taste like!! You biddies make me feel guilty telling me what you've baked and cooked in the biddybakery ha ha!

Thanks Robinia I couldn't do Blackcurrant tarts or caramel doughnuts like Birds so I'll keep going for them.

Neti I microwave the apples for about l minute with some sugar. Not very soft. I'm not sure about eating apples but I would say Granny Smith are your best bet but I don't think I would cook them first.

I took it round to my son's and his girlfriend had some straight away as it was still warm! I took them some Sainsbury's B G T Y Custard as well as they're quite bothered about their weight.

Had a lovely surprise as well. My son is a guitarist and he had made a recording of two songs by Crowded House doing all the parts, lead and bass guitar and all harmonies. I don't know if you know the songs but they were 'Fall at Your Feet ' and Weather with You.' My brother is a professional musician and they did it at his house as he has the right equipment. Sorry for going on but I'm really proud of him.

oh I love those songs Jude. My two (& my nephew) are musical too - youngest has several guitars as well as a mandolin, harmonica and a banjo - yep we know all the banjo jokes!!

(oh and my ex was a dj so I've always had music of one sort or another)

Oh heck my computer crashed & then it went into Andy Warhol mode so I went in the garden for half an hour. Big mistake as little dog decided to do some worm rolling (ie rolling on worms that are on the surface in the grass yuck). Have just spent 20 mins washing him - much to his disgust.
