No snow today Robinia but still jolly cold. What we had yesterday has all gone.
Sorry to about poor Willum Gessoo I hope he will be O.K.
You are very welcome to this diet sheet ! My total of food so far today equals one bowl of porridge and a banana.Quite honestly I could eat a scabby eyed monkey at the moment.But..I am really looking forward to my dinner which consists of sardines and salad. This is grim folks!!
I see they have cleared the road of beer now Vinny ..I just spotted you disappearing into the distance with a loaded donkey cart !
At least I look a bit more respectable now after a good haircut.!
My Mothers last words to me were "For goodness sake do something with that hair, you look as if you've had a fright"
Bless her ..I got all the way home to London and as I walked in the door the phone rang and my brother told me she had passed away.
Well I am off to have a cup of black coffee to try and stave off the hunger pangs !
Please don't mention bread ,buns or booze !
We had to have pussy cat William put to sleep an hour ago. He had kidney failure and it was the kindest thing to do. He was born virtually blind and had neurological problems all his life, but nevertheless enjoyed his life and wanted for nothing. He was 13 and we never expected he would live more than a couple of years. He was such a character.
He was put to sleep whilst being cuddled by MrG who was William's favourite person in the world. I was also there to talk to him and stroke him. The vet gave us a room and said we could have as much time as we liked with him. Poor little Willie RIP.
Oh gessoo my favorite cat Cfer had kidney trouble and finally we had to put her down - she looked dreadfully dirty and skinny as she wouldn't eat her special food, but it took 3 injections before she gave up. I was cuddling her all the time and crying my eyes out, We buried her with my slippers as she'd loved sleeping on them, but much as we loved her, we had to let her go,
Good luck.
Thank you all so much. We do still have two dogs and two cats, but every one of them is very special. William was the Grandad of the bunch, bless him. He loved to sleep in a funny position with his head tucked under and also did forward rolls, just like a human, tucking his head in. I have been looking at photos. Here he is asleep.
Can't work this evening as my work involves the telephone and I just can't bring myself to talk to anybody. Am I being silly, some people would say that it's only a cat, but he was a member of our little family?
gessoo Im so sorry you lost william.give all your other pet's a big hug from me..xx
If it should be that I grow weak
and pain should keep me from my sleep.
Then you must do what must be done,
for this last battle cannot be won.
You will be sad, I understand.
Don't let your grief then stay your hand.
For this day more than all the rest,
your love for me must stand the test.
We've had so many happy years,
what is to come can hold no fears.
You'd not want me to suffer so.
The time has come, please let me go.
Take me where my needs they'll tend
and please stay with me until the end.
Hold me firm and speak to me,
until my eyes no longer see.
I know in time that you will see,
the kindness that you did for me.
Although my tail its last has waved,
from pain and suffering I've been saved.
Please do not grieve it must be you
who had this painful thing to do.
We've been so close, we two, these years.
Don't let your heart hold back its tears:RIP William.
