For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.dot, maybe AnswerBank is sending them but they are getting intercepted by a spam filter somewhere along the route. Have you checked your spam filter settings? Have you looked in your spam folder? I occasionally find a genuine email ends up with the spam so it is not just AB that has overactive spam robots!.
You just need to work out who's contributions have gone that were just general enquiries, and then try to remember the names of the antagonistic users. I have a couple of names, an obvious one has definatelty been banned.
I am off out for an hour or so, I hope you are all able to carry on this harmonious discussion about the welfare of the site in my absence! BRB :)
