Couldn't wait to freeze the cream so have just eaten a meringue nest with Raspberries and "cooking" cream, oh twas lully, but Hugh Fernley-Whittingstall was banging on about purple headed brocolli on the tv and making me feel very unhealthy, so I turned him off!! Just having my lunch and thought I'd catch up on your posts and Neti guess what I'm having for 'afters' That's it. Rasperries, mini meringues not nests just blobs (bought in a tub for �1.99 from Sainsburys) and fresh double cream. Loverly!!! I think if it's all mixed up it's called Eaton Mess!!

Hope you all are having a good weekend. It's just about stopped raining at the mo but I don't expect it's for long.

Funny the Derby Psychic should have posted that old-fashionly-clad woman - as a matter of fact my acquaintance from the grocery store and I had coffee and tried hats on...! Well not at the same time but there's a small boutique nearby with beauuuutiful jewellery and feng shui stuff and clothes that I'm too "voluptuos" (hm) to wear but I love going there. I've got a vintage hat box from Dobb's at Fifth Avenue in New York that the boutique owner agreed to take off my hands just from my description, so yes that photo pretty much nailed the ambience of yesterday afternoon.

Oh actually Neti the other day as I walked past a wino bench I heard one of'em comment me to the other, saying "there goes my mother!" followed by a short pause and then "no it's my fianc�e...!" so you could be on to something ha ha ha.

How's it going with buying a new car, Jude - have you decided? I'm only asking so we'll have the time to stand back you see. / I'm looking forward to my Tai Chi lessons, they will be late in the evening on Tuesdays starting on the 23rd. There will be a Qi Gong class before the Tai Chi but I've decided to go for the latter only - have tried Qi Gong before but didn't like it nearly as much as Tai Chi. I know I've asked you Jude if you've done Qi Gong but I don't remember if you have...?

Welcome home Shaney to your old buddies where you belong. I don't really speak any German at all, took French instead but have forgotten all of it... Here's a site I've been saving for you, it's like scrabble, only, online. You play against strangers or you could of course make an appointment with someone you know, to play at a certain o'clock.

Oh I have that exact talent Robi... I can make that pick even from a magazine printed so badly you can hardly read what it says but sure enough I can spot the bespoke and expensive... It's like a hunger in my soul but I'd feel lost without it - I believe that that which we know to be functional we also think of as beautiful so it's a good instinct, really. Only wish I had the lolly. oh well

I'd be stricken with a dirty look from Mr.S. if I bought a handtasche for that money ! In fact I would be shot at dawn probably .Nice though isn't it ...hmmm ..rifles through purse . Nope ....a bit of fluff and about five quid in change is not quite enough
I can't play these online games Kit .I did try online Scrabble once but they are all too quick for me .

It's been an upsetting day here, first I heard from an old friend who's just had major surgery and who's going to have to do it all over again next week because of the surgeon failing to check something that he/she should have checked. And then there were 10-15 police officers, police dogs and two newspaper photographers just below my window, and the immediate area was being sealed off. I thougt for sure that somebody had been killed but it turned out to have been a burglary (probably in my building) and two persons were eventually arrested.

Loved your couple-and-cat statue Shaney - and the continuing story of Mouseytowers is turning out to be the new Brokevac Mountain, ha ha keep going Robinia, I love it! About that Scrabble site Shaney there's an option to play with no time limit (at least there is in the Swedish version.) This one's nice too guess the title
