a'noon - had me hedges trimmed this morning so I've been busy supervising....I'm out there with a tape measure & a spirit level you know.....
oh Vinny, hope you didn't get trench foot last week in all that mud..... let's have a look....ooooh horrible....oh you've still got your slippers on. you'd better use neti's zimmer, she must be lolling by the pool again.. tut ...hope it's better as soon as you want it be ;o)
fabulous pics gessoo, you have a lot of flowers. My garden always looks a bit quiet after the spring burst is over. I used to have a big area with perennials but the couch grass got in to it & I was tired of forever digging them up so I'm gradually replacing them with shrubs.
byeee jno, have a good time....
hi Jude - have you been speeding again? police were wandering round the shops today
well if I were you gessoo I'd have a word with neti & shaney. I see they've been in pixi's birthday thread but not been in to see us today... tut....bet they've gone off to buy some voluminous cotton summer bloomers.
I picked up a couple of jigsaws from the charity shop to do with my oldest granddaughter & I think one of them might have been mine lol....looks a bit familiar now. Got one of The Rising Sun hotel in Lynmouth too....do you know it Vinny? it looks lovely.mmmm, 100 a day DBB in a seaview room...oh no, food looks too posh, what's up wi' cheese on toast & I can't see any sprout butties?
Been in there late summer last year robinia..its a lovely pub.....shellys cottage next door is really nice...and I love the goats in the valley of the rocks. And the cliff railway is water powered...you wouldnt want to walk up the hill between lynton and lynmouth..but its not quite so bad as porlock hill...where driving can be dodgy....!!Ive booked you a double room ...btw....ED will pay for it..hehe.(the make of the jigsaw isnt Victory by anychance...I use to make them in the mid-sixties..3:10 shillings and sixpence a week)(:-)
bet judes been there...haha..!!
um...might take the minehead bus to lynton in the next few weeks..its open topped and the coast scenery is magic.....nice pubs round there..to.!
My parents honeymooned at Porlock Vinny, back in 1942.
Robinia, don't be taken in by my flowers. The only flowers I really have are in that bit of back garden and clothe the fence and wall, although I shall put some plant pots around in that area shortly - when I get round to it. The rest of my garden is shrubs and trees and tatty grass. I don't do flower beds or borders at all -hence no weeding or hoeing!!!!!
Vinny I've looked on the jigsaw box & it says Made by Vincent so don't expect the pieces to fit together. It's brand new, still got the cellophane on, I think someone decided it was too hard. It should keep my granddaughter quiet, along with the gobstoppers, for about 6 visits...never let it be said I don't know how to entertain the anklesnappers, hehe.
Looking forward to the holiday c/o AB....double room eh? mmmmm.....
this is almost identical to the jigsaw pic but
I love this close up photography gessoo, you can just do the best bits
