You may well ask Robinia ...outside cutting all the fronds off my lovely Heuchara plant which the ing wind has beaten down and all the stems have broken off.
If you want cool Neti come round here it's like the middle of bl==dy winter .You can borrow my jumper and cardi and by the look of it my winter coat .
And they reckon we are getting a heatwave .Pah ..I'm not holding my breath.
I have aches on me aches on me aches
Yours
Very disgruntled of Shaneytowers
Wild and windy Norfolk.
golly, quiet in here... don't tell me they've all taken the Biddybus to Ibiza or Norfolk or somewhere

http://sugarmtnfarm.com/blog/uploaded_images/T opsyTurvyBusSunsetDSCF3930-740384.jpg
If the bus comes this way you won't stay long - it's humid and hot. Last night Mr N put on the air con again thank heavens. Off to see the Endocrine specialist today, so hope I'll soon get sorted. I've put on at least 5 kilos since taking these thyroid pills and am still sweating like the proverbial!! Micheline man come to mind!!!
good morning...it's supposed to be hot here for a couple of days....<peers through gloom of thick clouds>...yeh, right....

oh dear, we're not keeping Vin's gallery very well dusted & aired are we? better have a flick round with me tickling stick later, he's back tomorrow isn't he?..... but I refuse to clean the windows, that's sweedie's job when she gets back

I dread to think what they're on with up Sugar Mountain farm jno, it must be far worse than Brokevac because they won't let me look..

I hope you go on ok muggy...I've put on about 6 or 7 kilos & I'm a happy non-stick....but if it makes you happy feel free....elastic waists here I come...

....ermmm, s'pose I could have a thyroid problem....
Hi to everyone , not a very happy little Biddy today. I am going for a colonoscopy and a gastroscopy tomorrow (Wed.) and I've had nothing but clear liquids all day . Had to take the usual concoctions and tablets and drink copious amounts of water with them so the cameras get a clear view !!! I'm starving ,tired and longing for a cuppa on top of that it 's Winter ( which I hate) and they are promising rain .
Sorry about this miserable moan but I had to tell someone and who better than the understanding Biddies .
Roll on Wednesday night ,off to bed now ,see you later .
Ah Bless poor Dolly! You must feel awful, hope all is ok, let us know. You can always moan to us, cos that's what we're here for!!

I'm still very Hashimoto, pills not working too well, so have upped my dosage. I asked why I look pregnant and she said once they've sorted the thyroid she'll put me on a diet - I do hope it includes mint humbugs or I'm done for - no more analysis til Nov. Whole family (all 3 of us) went to look for trainer shoes for daughter in Ibiza town so I was dropped off at hospital and collected again and daughter still couldn't find the ones she wanted, well blow me, once back in our little village,lo and behold, there are the first pair she tried on, so she had them, a morning completely and utterly wasted!!
BTW - I can see jno's sugarmountainfarm!
oh no Dolly no wonder you're not a happy biddy...and I suppose they've given you the 'dynamite' to clear the way? (thankfully I've not had it done but heard many tales of woe) I don't think I'd be able to stand after all that & I can't function until I've had two mugs of tea with 2 & half sugars first thing. Hope it all goes well & quickly & that your results are clear of problems. I had the dyno-rod man here yesterday, I'm sure he'd have sorted you out if he'd known. :o)

well hashibiza I obviously can't see it 'cos I'm very young & impressionable....
actually, thinking about it netimoto sounds better
<mental picture of gastroscopy and colonoscopy meeting in the middle and shaking hands... Dr Gallstone, I presume...>

Have just returned from big new Hadrian exhibition

http://www.britishmuseum.org/whats_on/future_e xhibitions/hadrian.aspx

useful discussions of Romano-Greek sexuality, tile-making techniques, difficulties of subduing Iraq through the ages etc, very interesting.
aggghhh, history lesson!

<climbs over wall & plays truant......>
Oh Dolly I hope it will all be OK for you .Chin up you can pig out and drink tea to your hearts content afterwards.
We are drifting towards our winter by the look of things .Our heatwave has not appeared ,well, not in here in Shaneytowers anyway .Take care xx

Now look here Missus Hashimoswetimoto ..you are lucky you only put on 5 kilos .I put on two stone and had a face like a balloon . I can remember it was my brothers Golden Wedding and I was in tears because I had nothing that I could wear . All my clothes were too small and I was a size eighteen . I had to go out and buy something and ended up with this horrible outfit .When I look at the photos I cringe ! I ended up a wreck before it was sorted out .I thought I looked like fatty harbuckle and it knocked my confidence .
They have to get your levels right . It was nearly a year until my levels were sorted .
Once the levels are correct the weight will come off I can assure you .Do not despair .
I'm still not a skinny minnie as in my mispent youth but the two stone have gone never to be seen again I hope !

Ooh Hadrian ..did you see that Dan Snow programme Jno ?
I did, shaney - it was a very good introduction to the exhibition; I don't know if they were actually made as a package, but it seemed to cover almost identical ground. It has the first known writing in Britain , some messages for soldiers written in ink on waffer-thin pieces of wood.

<sends Russell Crowe in toga to fetch Robinia back and enhance her education>
<peeps round door>
are lessons finished?...enhance my education? there's not much hope of that with this foggy brain. I can watch a film & a fortnight later watch it again & see it for the first time... :o(

ooooohhhh, did you have to do that muggymoto? I'm between courses.
ooh, there's something for me to aspire to, neti... <gets another pot of double cream out of fridge>
This is what I miss not living in London anymore Jno.I would have been loved to go to that . I miss going to exhibitions .I used to go to a lot with my old buddy who died recently .I just have to make do with the Dans on the box :(
Honestly .. Neti I have just had my dinner thank you very much .That has put me right off my yogurt now .
I shall just have to console myself with Francesco Da Mosto at 8.30.Drool ....
Still waiting for my dinner as we are having a chinese take-away as soon as daughter comes back from Ibiza town!
you need to make a pilgrimage to The Great Wen occasionally, Shaney. There's an exhibition on Byzantium coming up at the RA, plus one on Babylon at the British Museum in October, I think. Put yourself up at the Ritz for a few days and live on scones with strawberry jam and cream.
PS the Hadrian one hasn't even started yet so you still have plenty of time! Crank the chauffeur up and head down the highway.
