Further to Tallulah's question about newbies... (the green part is to return, i know) Is it possible to give the long serving members a Motif of some kind next to their name that reads.... 'back in the day..' or

'I remember when this site ...' logo on it so the rest of us mere mortals are aware of who they are.

thank you ED they deserve the merit.

long service medals-different colours for how long you have been here-
-
also - campaign medals- based on number of answers given
and number of questions asked
I have an AB tiara and a sash.... And a badge.
Pints of liffey water for long sevice.
I have a cetificate of attendance going back a long while. My attendance has been poor latelly I will admit :D
you also get a gift on the anniversary of each year you're a member.

So far I've recieved a Harrods hamper, a giant box of truffles, and a magnum of champagne though I do feel last year that AB was feeling the credit crunch as I got a carriage clock which on closer inspection was plastic.

I really do hope this years gift is more beffiting to someone of my stature, or I shall be forced to terminate my subscription and return my membership card.
Oh Boo-Hoo I never got nuthin.
you want the carriage clock Naomi? It's plastic and one hand is missing, still, if you squint at it from a distance- it looks ok i guess.
Oh yes please and may I have the carriage that goes with it ?
Now now Naomi, that greedy attitude might be why you haven't recieved the previous years gifts, but go on then, you can have it.
I like this idea very much!

Spare Ed
Great idea could do with a long service medal :)

Dont worry KIDD72 - I remember back to the days when i was a mere mortal as well lol
joining date beside/below user name would be good
-- answer removed --
a join date would be good, but using monikas or elevating users because they are long serving would only intimidate newbies and encourage cliqueness in my opinion.

keep everyone as normal, the date joined alone would suffice.
^ ''normal''... funny...
a skid ^ ;)
Are you being derogatory? ;-p
and how! :)
I don't think a date wouldn't really tell anyone much, how about average rating received when they get round to bringing the stars back for answers?
