Never did me any harm, I thought he was funny. I've been here 4 months but My opinion as 'a lurker in the wings who seldom posts' means nothing.

the site seems to be still going okay, people are still asking questions, giving answers, and accusing Newsdesk of crimes agains the state, so no great decline in standards. It's not a democracy, it's the Ed's site, and he can ban anyone he likes. Them as don't like it can join other sites - there seem to be plenty with no rules at all - or start their own. That's the internet for ya.
