I am pleased to return to some degree of normality by playing out my various roles once again under the banner of MM Links Games. Nevertheless, it was a welcome relief to be able to hand over the reins to gen2 in the certain knowledge that all will be well when I returned. My sincere thanks also go to Strix who played his part to keep the (well-oiled) wheels of MM Links turning over. The four-week break was necessary to recharge batteries and catch up on family visits.
Tomorrow, we open the doors to admit Spring into our lives ~ assisted by our new setter, the ever-enduring Jan, who is one of the original MM Linkers. She has hardly missed a week since the inception of the Games. Her name reminds me of “Lady Jane Grey” and accordingly I shall dub her “Lady Jan” (the not so Grey)! I look forward to seeing how you lot shape up to the task of predicting her chosen link words during this, her second reign. This makes her one of the few “Super MM Links Champions”.
Be aware that “Lady Jan” will be making her launch tomorrow morning ~ starting her posting at 8.45am and declaring her four words to be linked at 9.00am, when MM Links kicks off in earnest. Remember (with MM Links) ~ early hits gain bonus points!
Of course, you should also look out for the international version of this same game which is called KM Links and kicks off at a very early hour (which is difficult to predict precisely). Consequently, the timing of your posting is deemed to be irrelevant ~ only the number of hits you are able to register. The regular organiser of KM Links comes all the way from Oz and goes by the name of “seekeerz”. As I always say ~ “Why not chance your arm at both Link Games?” They remain open for most of the weekend and all entries are scored and entered on to master scoreboards.
thanks crofter, the not so grey is because I have a bottle to thank
not red wine this time.
more like "nice and easy" ((((((((((

hi and welcome tearing hair
nice to see you
we can toast the cold cross buns to warm them
I have been demo ing them all day today the store had a smell of cinamon
I bought two packets of dark chocolate hobnobs this morning. Not, of course, that I intend to eat two packets on Sunday,,,, but they don't often stock the dark ones so I have to grab them when I see them!
I will be thinking of you on Sunday!
I was buying eggs this week for my nephews and nieces....aren't they just a rip off! I was so tempted to buy blocks or boxes of chocolates, as they are much better value, but not quite the same somehow.
"good to see you pauline
I am sure you will suss the links"
Come on Jan, you're not pandering to that minx of the Shurbbery are you? All this talk of food - you wouldn't sink so low as to have links with chocolate, rabbits, eggs, bonnets and parades would you?
Pauline eggs are NOT a rip off they have been as low as 95p for cadburys and nestles ones
which in comparison to 30 odd years ago I am sure is cheaper when you consider wages now
and any way easter egg chocolate tastes much better
and strix I am not saying till 9 am tomorrow
Yes, Jan, they do need lots of packaging to stop them getting broken. The reason why they get so easily broken is that, nowadays, there is so much less chocolate in the shell of each egg for its size. Do you not remember how thick the shell of Easter eggs used to be? It used to be a real struggle to break bits off.
Not, sad to say, nowadays. You only have to flick them and they fall apart.
Anyway...back to eggs...I don't eat them, as I am allergic to them. Laura wanted to poach one this week, and there were so many ways being told her, so any offers as to a fool proof way?
