what period in time would you have liked to be in, not which decade as in the 60s, been done, but from the beginning of time
I would like to have been one of those beautiful gowned women who sat and did their needlework by the fire like the sisters in Little Women and to be able to go to Balls and dance to those wonderful waltzes
LOL

Peri - I first won a holiday camp competition - I was pushed into this by Mr. Den and his mates who we were on holiday with. The first prize was free beer for the 2 weeks we were there (need I say more - men !) - I then went for the national heats of the Miss Max Factor - I was absolutely petrified - there were around 150 girls competing - most were professionals - it came to my turn to walk on the stage - I was sh!ting myself - Mr. Den and his mates were in the audience cheering me on (which really did'nt help) I was supposed to walk on stage, stop at each corner, do a twirl and stop and then walk on.
Well, I never stopped at each corner or twirled, my waist length dark hair covered my face and I literally galloped off. The photos were awful - I did'nt even take them with me.
Needless to say I did'nt win but after the competition, backstage the representative of Max Factor approached me and said I could have a future with them - I was what they were looking for. An appointment was made for me to have a port folio done etc, but I lost my bottle and did'nt turn up. They did phone me to make another appointment but I just declined.
I wished I had some of the confidence then most of the girls now seem to have now.
