Is This Any Good?

I have written something that my husband says is quite good and may help others in a similar situation. It's only just over 300 words (a page) and just 3 minutes when read. He says I should send it someone. But who? Does anyone know how I add a sound recording here? I would be grateful if you let me know if it's any good.

If you wanted to share a recording, you could record it on something like SounCloud: https://soundcloud.com/ and then paste the link to it here. I could then embed it.

When you say "send it to someone", what do you mean? For publication?

If yes, then maybe have a look at Duotropes: https://duotrope.com/ you can have a free trial. The length of the piece probably puts it in the "flash fiction" category. There are plenty of 'zines and journals which might work for you.

If that seems a bit too much, then you could look for a local poetry/writing groups to join and get feedback from.

Yes I would say it's very good and very helpful not just to women who have been raped or abused but to anyone who has decided that they will bury something which shouldn't be buried.

Jakep I'm happy your secrets have been released. I think it is helping me because simply by freeing them, they aren't my secrets anymore. They are the perpretrators secrets. And therefore now their problem. Does that make sense?

Yes crisgal, that does make sense. The burden of the secret has been released. At the moment, I am struggling with overwhelming anger at 'him' and the world but have sought, and been given, help via my lovely GP.
It is never too late to heal this pain. You may help people take the first step.
