Hi. I was wondering if someone could suggest the most effective way to expose and promote yourself as a contemporary artist whose medium is mainly oil and acrylic paintings? thank you for your input.

Ask at your local library.If they put on exhibitions,they may allow you to show your work. My doctors surgery has paintings by local artists on the walls in the waiting room all for sale .Our Somerfields cafe has work by local artists on the walls.Local shops may like to use your paintings as backdrops for window display .You can only ask!!
How about a website.? Perhaps a local Art College may be able to give you some advice.
