Halle Orchestra

I have to escort my mum to the Halle Orchestra's 15th visit to Tatton Park next weekend and am wondering what to wear / what to expect etc. anyone been? any advice? it's not my usual scene! thanks in advance

Hi actionmanc. I have not been to a concert at Tatton Park (although I am going to the RHS Show there tomorrow), but I have been to many Halle concerts in Manchester and, as In a Pickle, says, the dress code is very relaxed. If you want to feel comfortable I would suggest smart casual, not scruffy and not over dressed (I assume you are male?). It also depends on what your mum is wearing - you don't want to be in jeans and a t-shirt if she is in a smart dress. Enjoy!!

thank you both very much for your help - it is greatly appreciated and I feel much more relaxed now I am better informed.

Agree2 - I am female, although I could possibly have scrubbed up well in a tux if the occasion called for it!
