When I was in the Van Gogh Museum I saw a painting way upstairs among a lot of other artists (not Van Gogh) which was by a painter called Mauve. Does anyone know anything about him, or where any of his pictures are hanging? I should love a copy of this picture. Thank you very much.

If you Google him there are quite a lot of sites with prints of his work. Hope he is your artist.

Thank you, yes, he is Anton Mauve, is it pronounced as we pronounce the colour, do you think? not too familiar with the Dutch language! Anyway, AFTER I had posed the question I remembered Google and did find out a lot about him, but I have not found the picture yet! Thank you very much for your interest.
