I took part in The V. Monolgues once which has a speech about the c word reclaiming it as a 'normal' word rather than a swear word.
It ends with the speaker trying to get the audience to shout the word with her. Apparantly when Glenn Close performed it at Carneigie Hall the whole audioence shouted with her. Mmm .. my problem was that i was in a small theatre in the middle of the Surrey countryside. And I'm not Glenn Close!
I did, however, have a plant in the audience in the shape of my husband and so asked him to shout out "C**T" , at the appropriate moment, as an encouragement to others. Luckily the audience were kind and did join in much to my and my husbands relief . Though had his been the loan voice I did think it would have been really funny as it would have sounded like he was making a solo comment on my acting style!
