Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

Now that JK Rowling has officially named her next book who do you think is the half-blood prince?? I initally thought it could possibly be something to do with Neville Longbottom, but have since remembered that both his parents were wizards therefore he is full blood. Anyone any suggestions as to who it could possibly be??

The half blood prince is almost without a doubt Tom Riddle. For those who say that JK Rowling said that it wasn't Voldemort, and assumed that this meant Tom Riddle aswell, remember in the cos dobbie said that Harry couldn't return to Hogwarts because of danger and when asked why? Dobbie said it had nothing to do with Voldemort. But it was about Tom Riddle! Furthermore the second book could have been called hp and the hbp and that the second book is centred around Tom Riddle. Tom Riddle is the heir of Slytherin and is a half blood so could quite possibly be the half blooded prince!

I think the half blood prince could possibly be Seamus Finnigan because he is the only other character in the Harry potter books who has revealed that he is also a half-blood besides harry and voldemort. And since J.K. Rowling has said that it is neither one of them I automatically think about the other character who is a half-blood and has said so in the past books.

hello for u fans out there u should know that half blood prince was the originall title of the second book so the prince has to have somthing to do with the chamber of secrets so it could possibly be hagrid i mean he is half wizard and half giant soo that is a big possiblity just sayin for all u smart fans out there

Well the first thing i thought is who do i know who is a half blood no matter how big or small their character is in the first 5 books my first thought was Hagrid. Then Seamus. Then after seeing J.K.Rowlings site Dean. Then it might be a bran new person never seen before. Luna was never seen before book 5.And if ya'll read her site it says that Mark Evans in book 5 is just another name like gordan from dudleys gang.J.K.is a trickster i mean she has basically the whole world trying to figure out what she's doing so she ain't stupid well find out who's right and then see all the wrong answers as stupid suggestions well i say it's Hagrid, Seamus,Dean,Dumbledore,or someone new.

I HAVE QUESTIONS OF MY OWN! when did jk say that the clues pertaining to the hbp were in the second book? and why does the charachter have to be introduced in the 2nd book? Did everyone read rowlings info page... i read this... which i COPY AND PASTED STRAIGHT OFF HER PAGE... I think the half blood prince is Dudley Dursley...after all his mother's sister (who is Harry's mother) was a witch.

anyone thought about sirius black coming back?!! that could be a possibility. I believe that he will make some CRAZY return and contribute to this prince. He's Harry's only family left, i dont think he can be dead yet.

on JKRs site it says that MARK EVANS!!!! IS THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE and is related to Harry.

Is Professor Snape a pure blood? Since we haven't heard much about Snape's past and JK promised we will learn more in the future book, why not him.

Mark evans means nothing. JK herself says so on her sight.

I don't think the JK Rowling would introduce a new vital character this late in the series. I think that it is most like someone we know. I know it is not Harry or Voldemort, but it could be Neville. I just hope it is a really good twist and a surprise.

I think that the thery of harry havin a twin brother is excileant. And that it could b somone all ready at the skool who is unaware. Like Nevill for instanc, Voltamort tryed to kill both of them but went to harry first. Cause harry's parents wear in hiddin prob even before they had harry the could of easely had twins with out people knowing. So perhaps then nevill is the hald blood princ, which would make harry a prince as well but not the half blood one ,as jkr clearly stated, But that would still not have the conection with COS but ha think about it.

You never know what Voldemort has been up to, so he mite of made friends with a female muggle and made a half-blood son. You never know.But then again it's really farfetched. It's just a wild guess.
