(NB Also posted in Travel) - one morning next month Mrs Backdrifter and I will be arriving in Glasgow off the sleeper. So we'll be in the city centre from about 7am, looking for a decent breakfast. I know the city quite well but haven't gone seeking breakfast there before, so can any one recommend me a good place? It can be trad Scottish, American, anything, but interesting independent places preferred. A web search has given me a few suggestions but if you know better please let me know. Thanks!
If you're looking for somewhere fancy you could try Windows at the Carlton George. It's a wee bit pricey, but the food is excellent and the view over the city is superb

failing that, try this website

Thanks Karen, the Carlton looks nice but I'm after something more basic I think. By the way I couldn't search for breakfasts on the 5pm site, unless I'm missing something.
